Locust House
Locust House is a fully-furnished home in West Philadelphia with the capacity to house a maximum of 3 residents. Through Locust House, Redemption Housing offers a “Next Level Housing” program to support sustained reintegration for men released from incarceration within the past five years. This support helps avoid the stringent housing limitations placed on returning citizens in Philadelphia, which otherwise often leaves people with past convictions unhoused.
Residents can remain in this program for up to two years. They are required to be working or in school and must remain clean and sober. They are also each partnered with a volunteer mentor from one of Redemption Housing’s Connecting Congregations.
